Along side of our three year golf course renovation, there was another little project in progrees on the grounds. Our poolhouse was in need of repair and an initiative was started to bring the club a new, up-to-date building to go with our beautiful pool. It is a welcome addition to our club, has been used for many other club funtions beyond the pool, and also boasts a new Cabana area for all members to enjoy. Below are a few of our programs.

Swimming, Diving & Water Polo

The FCC Swimming, Diving and Water Polo teams are a summer sports program for kids up to the age of 18. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment and a true team experience for all those involved. We have 2 swimming coaches, a diving coach and 2 water polo coaches. Joining the teams is a great way to make new friends, learn about the sports and have an exciting and productive summer!

We strive to teach not only the fundamentals of swimming, diving and water polo, but also self-discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship and personal commitment. Our philosophy is that everybody on the team can find success if they are willing to work hard and come to practice ready to learn.

Our teams season begins with morning practices in June and ends with the team banquet in September. The season is packed with practices Monday - Friday, meets are on Saturday morning and Wednesday night for swimming, Thursday nights for diving and Tuesday nights for Water Polo. There are also social events such as lock-ins, relay events and team breakfasts.

Adult Swim

Adult Swim is a chance for adults to get in some laps before work and before the kids descend upon the pool. We hold adult swim every morning from 7am - 8am and weekends from 10am - 11am. The Adult Swim program goes from June - July.

Pool Manager

Amy Peterson has played a very active role in her position as Pool Manager at Flossmoor Country Club. She manages the lifeguards, holds swim lessons and runs the swim, dive and water polo teams. Amy is a graduate of Marian Catholic High School and attended the University of Iowa where she majored in Elementary Education. She received her Masters Degree in Teaching and Leadership at St. Xavier University and is currently a 5th grade teacher in Chicago. Working at FCC is one of the highlights of her summer and she really enjoys working with all of the families!
